KNIFE SURVIVAL

RUN AWAY FROM A KNIFE ATTACK! how many times have you heard it during your self defence classes? Theoretically speaking, it is absolutely reasonable. Unfortunately, from a practical point of view, the victim may not have enough space to run away (lift/car/toilet) and also running could be probably the worst option (the predator may be fit and strong, in short, the victim will get tired before him) In regard to this matter, I would ask a couple of questions…are we fit enough to run explosively and then fight back? If not, what could we do against a man holding a knife? Remember also that the predator rarely shows his blade, on the contrary, he ambushes the unaware victim without mercy, like a wild animal in the jungle. So then, where is the truth? we could have a long talk about it, there are so many variables to consider (favourable/unfavourable conditions – stroke of luck / stroke of bad luck – a stab wound can be fatal / five stab wounds may not be, the knife may break or fall on the floor, police could be just behind the corner or not, third party intervention etc… in my opinion, only two things are sure: 1) if we don’t know how a knife works, we will hardly know what to do 2) if we do not cultivate a solid combative mentality associated with a functional game plan, we will have no escape << to be continued >> FABIO RABOLLI I contenuti presenti nel blog "IDS TRIBE ALBENGA" dei quali è autore il proprietario del blog non possono essere copiati, riprodotti, pubblicati o redistribuiti perché appartenenti all'autore stesso.
